Update 10 weeks and fun stuff

UPDATE TIME….. SINCE ITS BEEN SO LONG…..

Where to begin.

Lets see Eric and I have now both celebrated our 25th birthdays in a new city..

Needless to say, on my b-day weekend we had the greatest of SUPRISES.. BAM.. I am pregnant.. Lol (Which I will discuss more in a moment.) What a great birthday surprise and my wonderful husband took me out for a steak dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse, which was very good. And we did a lot of nothing, which was the greatest b-day gift..

On Eric’s birthday weekend.. We pretty much had dinner and shopped … lol.. He wanted a new watch and it was all about shopping for a new watch for him. Bad thing about it is, shopping with him is like shopping for a new wardrobe for me…. He is so picky and he makes sure to try on several different ones until he finds the most perfect one…lol which for me a pregnant, irritable woman who did not want to go shopping, it felt like an eternity. BUT IN THE END HE GOT A NEW WATCH……

Now, back to this pregnancy… I found a doctor (OBGYN) at Medical City of Dallas. Her name is Dr. Mie Mie Sohn-McGowan (she goes by Dr. Sohn). She is a wonderful doctor, who really listens to you and your fears. After 48 hours she decided to put me on Progesterone, in order to boost my levels. After two long weeks, I went back in for our first Sonogram. As most of you know there was the baby and the heart beat was at 148 bpm. It was the most beautiful thing in the world to see… (and to hear)…. That was my 7th week check up.

I am now on my 10th week and things are going good. Eric and I have begun the endless name process and have come up with the final two choices. We can not wait to find out if baby B is a girl or a boy. (Eric swears its boy and I don’t care either way).. As for my dad he to has come up with names James or Jimmie or Jamie for a girl.. I would like you all to know that the name Jimmie or Jamie will not be used. Although James will….. (If baby b is a boy)

Eric and I have now decided that our Christmas gift to one another this year will be a nursery set.. We have found the one we really like and we think instead of spending money on stuff we don’t need or things we can buy anytime of the year we will simply focus on the little one (and Dakota)

Next Tuesday I will be going to the doctor for my 11th week check up. I am not sure what they will be doing other then just checking me out. Eric and I have decided to go with an AFP test, Alpha fetal Protein test (I think that is it)… This test can help determine if there is an issue with the baby early in the pregnancy. This test uses the protein levels in your blood to determine if the presents of Down Syndrome or other elements are there. After researching the different test they offer, I decided to not go with the Amniotesis (Or however you spell it), it is a bit risky on the baby and I do not want to risk anything. So we will go with the AFP test on my 11th week visit. Heck I can handle a few vials of blood being drawn, I have done it before……

Eric and I have brought our baby book and we have begun to fill it out and put pictures of you guys in there. (SOME GOOD SOME GOOFY)

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving with the family and are also sad that we can not be back at home in Bryant with everyone else to celebrate. BUT we will be joining you all for Christmas. (So don’t think you have gotten rid of us that easily)….

Well I have to get back at it.

Sending our love to you all

Eric, Heather and baby B

UPDATES AND NEWS

Hey guys,

Sorry its been quite awhile since I sent out updates.

As most of you know we are giving the "BABY" thing another try. We are thrilled to be pregnant and a bit nervous and on our toes you could say!!! I did go to the doctor on Monday October 13th, and my pregnancy was confirmed.

As for knowing how far along I am we have to wait We are in the earliest of weeks, the doctor says between 2-5 weeks at this point. They drew my labs (HCG and Progetstrone) as a safety precaution for my self and our "little one".. My hcg level was at 3673 which is consistant with a 2-5week read, my progestrone levels were at an 11, so she prescribed me some progestrone supplements and I started them immediatley on Tuesday night....

I will be having my labs re-ran tomorrow and going from there to see what the doctors say. I was told my HCG level should double every 48-72 hours so they should be up around 13,000-15,000 by Friday.. Also my Progestrone level shoudl go up. We are hoping to get me above 20 as quickly as possible in order to make my uterus strong.

I will keep you all up to date and let you know any developings..

By the way .. We have pretty much chose the name for a girl and for a boy..

But those details are going to be a secrct until much later..

Love to all of you

And Praise to God

WERE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE TOTO

WERE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE TOTO

Well let me start by saying DALLAS traffic STINKS.. STINKS BAD

For those of you who have never lived in a "BIG CITY" Dont do it. I have been very nervous when it comes to driving, but I am doing much better my 6th day in it.

Lets start from the beginning,

Day 1: Our drive started at 6:30 ( I cried all the way to Arkadelphia) Saturday September 27, 2008 after a long (plenty of stops for puppies to pee) ride down we arrived at our beautifull apartment.. by the way the apartment well it rocks and begin to unload our stuff to the 3rd floor. (YES THE THIRD FLOOR)!!!!

As the day wound down we were so tired we could no longer stand it and decided to get something to eat while unpacking. We ordered from a place called Tony's Pizza and Pasta(We got the number off the paper the aprarment people left for us) IT WAS GROSS , but we were so hungry by this time it did not matter. They messed up my order, brought me an open 2liter of coke..and I thought i was going to kill the delivery driver. I decided to eat and throw away the 2liter, I was to tired to complain, it was already 9:00pm by 11:30 that night i crawled into the new garden tub and fell asleep until i was awaken by almost drowning

Day 2:We then woke up Sunday (7:30 am) and began to unpack and unpack and well unpack. We finished up some much needed shopping and got lost training to find a freaking Target.. In a city this big you would think it would be right there but it is not. .lol.. We stayed up until 12am unpacking.. and then went to bed

Day 3: On Monday our hopes and floor were looking up. We could almost see the end of the boxes.. lol. and Our home was taking shape:

Day 4:Tuesday we once again waited for our cable to be turned on.. lol.. this seemed to take forever.. (thanks Time Warner) We went to the dog park (which is awesome, its a fenced in yard for doggies under 30lbs to run and play, DIXIE and DUKE were in Heaven..)

Day 5: Wed. we got up at 5:00 am and drove in to the first day of work in our new town (i wont call it my home town, not for 13months, thats when my lease is up) We worked and i went to Mickey Ds and got lunch all by myself. thats right I drove in Dallas Traffic.. It wasnt so bad. I even found my way to staples. Most of all i collapsed on my couch from being so tired after work and was in bed by 9pm.

Day 6.: Thurs. Got up at 5 got ready and drove to work.. Got our phones fixed. and new fax machine.. its all good.. but then my office depot box got here and i orderded the wrong binding machine.. i was on hold for what felt like a life time.. but they will be here to pick up tomorrow. YES.. TOMORROW IS FRIDAY

Did i mention it takes 35-45minutes to get to and from work (as long as traffic is not bad) Yea that pretty much sucks..

all is well

WE MISS EVERYONE AND LOVE EVERYONE SO MUCH

T-MINUS 3 DAYS

Well, the big move is on top of us now. I have been doing all the last minute packing and Eric (well he is out of town this week). I have gone through room after room trying to clean it out and pack up all of our belongings.

In the mist of packing it suddenly dawns on me that I am packing up my "life" and headed out west! Which believe it or not is very scary.

I was packing clothes, shoes, towels and just staring at the blank spaces on the walls and so forth. I started thinking back to when i moved in to my apartment, the memories it held, not all good but man it held alot of memories. Like when Eric asked me to marry him, when i lost the boys, my gallbladder surgery, alot of slumber parties and alot of tears. It has been a wonderful place of family and friends and even new puppies.

I loved my apartment it was my home. Now I am embracing new memories, new moments, that will occur in my new apartment. New changes, new surroundings. There will be new moments, new tears, new friends all in this new enviroment. It would seem that change was endless.

I am determined to make the best of it and determined to suceed at yet another adventure in my life. So bring it on world, bring it on.

God speed

Heather

SHORT AND SWEET AND TO THE POINT

HELLO GUYS.. SORRY ITS BEEN SO LONG..

We are still busy with packing and cleaning and even trying to visit with everyone before we leave.. Which you never know if we are going to make it to see everyone.. its sad.

Packing is nearing completion and we are super nervous, excited and plain tired.

We have been grocery shopping for can goods, rice, and noodles here, so when we get down there we don’t have to rush out to the store and we can do some unwinding.

We plan on taking a week off to rest and just get things organized so that we are able to relax once we are there and in our new place.

If you need our new address let us know. We know what it is and we love giving it out.

Well its short and sweet but that is all the time I have...............................................

Moving, Gustva and Power

As the day nears that we will be packing up and saying "goodbye" to our little home town. We are sad. We knew the day would get here before we knew it but we never thought we would be sitting here thinking about the final things to complete before the big move this soon.

Our apartment is well packed up now we are just riding out GUSTVA. (Who by the way should go back wher he came from) We are ver tired of the rain and crappy road conditions and did we mention the rain. Due to him the power has been out at our apartment since around midnight and well we are headed in to the 15th hour with out lights and have now been told it may be until tomorrow before we have power again. The only thing that keeps running through our heads is, Man we cant finish packing until i have power. (that and we dont want our food to spoil)

Rain rain go away come back again another few months from now.

All seriousiness.

Thank goodness the Hurricane was down sized and the people of New Orleans were spared another bruttle attack. We pray nonoe ever has to ride a storm out liek that again.

Well keep safe, dry and have a great night

Driving in Traffic

As I (Heather) prepare to move to the big City, I realize how different traffic will be. I am not scared to drive but recently on my visit to Dallas I realized that most Texans are not afaird to jump across 6 lanes of traffic and come to a complete stop without ever looking behind them.. This FREAKS me out..
