Update 10 weeks and fun stuff

UPDATE TIME….. SINCE ITS BEEN SO LONG…..

Where to begin.

Lets see Eric and I have now both celebrated our 25th birthdays in a new city..

Needless to say, on my b-day weekend we had the greatest of SUPRISES.. BAM.. I am pregnant.. Lol (Which I will discuss more in a moment.) What a great birthday surprise and my wonderful husband took me out for a steak dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse, which was very good. And we did a lot of nothing, which was the greatest b-day gift..

On Eric’s birthday weekend.. We pretty much had dinner and shopped … lol.. He wanted a new watch and it was all about shopping for a new watch for him. Bad thing about it is, shopping with him is like shopping for a new wardrobe for me…. He is so picky and he makes sure to try on several different ones until he finds the most perfect one…lol which for me a pregnant, irritable woman who did not want to go shopping, it felt like an eternity. BUT IN THE END HE GOT A NEW WATCH……

Now, back to this pregnancy… I found a doctor (OBGYN) at Medical City of Dallas. Her name is Dr. Mie Mie Sohn-McGowan (she goes by Dr. Sohn). She is a wonderful doctor, who really listens to you and your fears. After 48 hours she decided to put me on Progesterone, in order to boost my levels. After two long weeks, I went back in for our first Sonogram. As most of you know there was the baby and the heart beat was at 148 bpm. It was the most beautiful thing in the world to see… (and to hear)…. That was my 7th week check up.

I am now on my 10th week and things are going good. Eric and I have begun the endless name process and have come up with the final two choices. We can not wait to find out if baby B is a girl or a boy. (Eric swears its boy and I don’t care either way).. As for my dad he to has come up with names James or Jimmie or Jamie for a girl.. I would like you all to know that the name Jimmie or Jamie will not be used. Although James will….. (If baby b is a boy)

Eric and I have now decided that our Christmas gift to one another this year will be a nursery set.. We have found the one we really like and we think instead of spending money on stuff we don’t need or things we can buy anytime of the year we will simply focus on the little one (and Dakota)

Next Tuesday I will be going to the doctor for my 11th week check up. I am not sure what they will be doing other then just checking me out. Eric and I have decided to go with an AFP test, Alpha fetal Protein test (I think that is it)… This test can help determine if there is an issue with the baby early in the pregnancy. This test uses the protein levels in your blood to determine if the presents of Down Syndrome or other elements are there. After researching the different test they offer, I decided to not go with the Amniotesis (Or however you spell it), it is a bit risky on the baby and I do not want to risk anything. So we will go with the AFP test on my 11th week visit. Heck I can handle a few vials of blood being drawn, I have done it before……

Eric and I have brought our baby book and we have begun to fill it out and put pictures of you guys in there. (SOME GOOD SOME GOOFY)

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving with the family and are also sad that we can not be back at home in Bryant with everyone else to celebrate. BUT we will be joining you all for Christmas. (So don’t think you have gotten rid of us that easily)….

Well I have to get back at it.

Sending our love to you all

Eric, Heather and baby B
